Eleanor C. Hester, 91 of Dover, TN passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Diversicare of Dover. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Fort Donelson National Cemetery, Dover, TN with Rev. Ronnie Burgess officiating. Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born May 2, 1924 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late Charlie and Willie Emerine Crutcher. Mrs. Hester worked for Cain Sloan Dept. Store in Nashville, TN and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dover, TN. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lehman Miles Hester, brother, Charles Crutcher, Jr., sisters, Dorothy Watson, Jessie Riggins, nephews, Barry Riggins, Nick Watson. Survivors include her nephew, Randy Watson and nieces, Jane Cottrell and Brenda Rahn. Pallbearers will be Randy Watson, James Watson, Andrew Welch, Clay Welch, Brian Hewitt and Eddie Cottrell. Honorary pallbearers will be James Watson, II, Brice Shupe, Brianna Shupe and Trystin Welch. In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made to the Diversicare of Dover activity fund, P.O. Box 399, Dover, TN 37058.
