Edna Lorene Wallace, beloved wife, mother, and nanny, 79, Indian Mound, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. The funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00 pm at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Dunaway officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and from 12:00 until the time of service Thursday at the church. She was born August 30, 1931 in the Pine Bluff Community of Stewart County, daughter of Luther and Grethel Harding. She retired from Ely Walker and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Ray Bumpus. She is survived by her husband, Clarence N. Wallace, whom she married May 12, 1951, children, Rickey (Patsy) Wallace, Clarksville, Debbie (Scott) McElroy, Clarksville, sisters, Brenda (Hubert) Luffman, Dover, Anna Stuart, Clarksville, grandchildren, Emily Goodwin, Zachary McElroy, Shelby Wallace, and Ethan Wallace, and her beloved puppy and companion Tiger. Pallbearers will be Dale Wallace, Wallace Russell, Tony Wallace, Ronnie Wallace, Randy Wall, and Alfred Wofford.
