Dorothy Wyatt

Mrs. Dorothy Maxine Wyatt, age 93 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2023 at AHC in Paris, TN. She was born on October 5, 1929 in Stewart County, the beloved daughter of the late Wilmer and Eva Vaughn Sykes. She retired from Dover Elementary School after working in the housekeeping department for many years. Maxine loved the Lord and was a loyal servant. She was a member of New Haven Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years. Maxine was an avid cook and quilter. She dearly loved her family and treasured the memories they made together. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Monroe Wyatt, son; Randall Lewis Wyatt, brother; Lewis Jack Sykes and sister; Shirley Taylor.

She leaves behind those that loved her dearly, daughter; Kathy Mayer of Clarksville, TN, son; Tommy Wyatt (Sandra) of Pleasant View, TN, grandchildren; Christopher Wyatt (Kelly), Deana McBerry (Eric), Eric Miller (Angie), great-grandsons; Cameron and Ethan Miller.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00 am and continue until the hour of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro Glen Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Heflin Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Charles Williams, Eric Miller, Christopher Wyatt, Scott Taylor, Josh Sykes and Cody Krise.
