Dorothy Russell

Dorothy Marie Russell, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at the age of 87. Dorothy was born on October 15, 1937, to Minnie and Hobert Boren, and grew up in a loving family with seven siblings.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Ortha Fox, Beulah Wallace, and Robert Lee Boren. Dorothy is survived by her siblings Martha Hinton, Herbert Lee Boren, Jack Boren, and Betty Perry, who will continue to cherish her memory.

Dorothy shared a beautiful life with her husband, Edgar Russell, and together they raised their son, Ricky Russell (Amy). She found immense joy in her role as a homemaker, creating a warm and loving home filled with laughter and love. Her greatest pride was her family, especially her grandchildren Lynsey Racouillat (Brandon) and Ryan Russell (Chris), and her great-grandchild, Beaux Racouillat, who brought her immeasurable happiness.

Dorothy’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered fondly.

Visitation for Mrs. Russell will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Bro. Glen Glenn will officiate and burial will follow in the Stewart County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Randy Boren, Jason Boren, Anthony Mercado, Mark Milliken, Mark Milliken, Jr., Keith Earhart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Racouillat and Ryan Russell.
