Donnie Smith

Donnie Ray Smith, loving husband, father and grandfather, 70, Indian Mound, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, TN. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Friday and from 10-11 am Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home.
Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born March 25, 1940 in Indian Mound, TN son of the late Ralph and Lena Mae Weakley Smith. Mr. Smith retired from Yellow Freight Systems and was a member of Cross Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Carl R. Smith and Teddy Smith and sister, Mary S. Keel. Survivors include his wife of 50 yrs., Rosa McGregor Smith; daughters, LaRae (Buddy) Davenport, Clarksville, Lee Ann (Greg) Barrow, Dover; grandchildren, Guy Davenport, Parker Davenport, Jonathan (Julie) Barrow, Jordan Beth Barrow, Lexi Katherine Barrow; great grandchild, Hadley Anne Barrow and sister, Edna S. Smith, Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Buddy Davenport, Greg Barrow, Jonathan Barrow, Guy Davenport and Parker Davenport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cross Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 117 Byrd Rd, Dover, TN 37058.
