Don Compton

Donnie (Don) Ray Compton, 61, Dover, died Friday, February 12, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home with Earl Claud and Anthony Daley officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday and from 12-2:00 pm Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home.
Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Oct. 19, 1948 in Murray, KY son of the late Jack Spiceland and Mary Evelyn Perry Compton. Mr. Compton worked for H&M Construction and a Baptist. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Compton.Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wright Compton; daughters, Deanna Ross (Steven), Indian Mound, Anne Hackney(Walter), Clarksville; brothers, Sonny, Charles, Bill Compton, all of Dover, Doug Compton, Lugoff, SC, Larry Compton, Gallatin, TN and three grandchildren, Andrea and Tyler Hackney, Clarksville, Issac Ross, Indian Mound and his first great grandchild to be born later his year. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Regions Bank, Dover, TN.
