Dean Wyatt

Mr. Dean R. Wyatt, age 86, of Dover, TN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.

Born on July 3, 1938, in Clarksville, TN, Dean was the beloved son of the late William Gus Wyatt and Ruth Atkins Wyatt. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and later retired from a long and dedicated career in civil service.

Dean was a gifted carpenter, known for his woodwork and crafting wooden toys. He found great peace in the simple pleasures of life—most of all, the comfort of his home.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jo Ann Wyatt; his son, Marty Dean Wyatt; and his siblings: Thomas Wyatt, Wilton Wyatt, Efree Wyatt, O’Neal Wyatt, Sheila Waldrop, Judy Duryea, and Lucille Smith.
Dean is survived by his children, Scott Miles Wyatt (Veronica) and Dee Ann Wyatt Colburn (Chris); his cherished granddaughter, Kadence A. Wyatt; and his dear sister, Eva Mae Crain.

A graveside service to celebrate Dean’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Wyatt Cemetery, with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell Crain, Todd Crain, Rodney Crain, Chris Lewis, Jimmy Wyatt, and Deryk Wyatt.
