Dave Burgess, 90, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in
Dover. He was born December 3, 1934, in Los Angeles, California to Sigmund and
Mariet (nee Davidson) Eck. He was raised by his mother and stepfather, Austin "Tex"

Deon and Dave moved out of Hollywood and ran an art gallery in Montana. After a few
years, they moved the family (son Dave and daughter Charmaine, as well as various
pets) to the Nashville area so that Dave could return to the music business.
As well as his work in the music industry, Dave was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather; his wife, Deon; and his
