Danny Ray

Danny Olan Ray, age 74, of McKenzie, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Born on May 25, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, Danny was the son of the late C.W. Howard and Loletta Ray. He found great joy in spending time fishing, which was his favorite pastime. He also had a passion for his Dodge Challenger and enjoyed riding his four-wheeler whenever he could.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his beloved son, Danny Sean Ray, and his sister, Sherry Ray.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of nearly 36 years, Barbara Ray; his daughter, Stacy Nelson (Rob); his brothers, Gary Ray (Donna) and Harold Ray; his grandchildren, Brandy Hulshizer, Kayla Carter, and R.J. Carter; and his treasured great-grandchildren, Dixie, Bradon, Kason, Lila, Addy, and Sadie. He will also be remembered by many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.

In accordance with his wishes, Danny will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
