Daniel Clark Wallace, fondly known as Dan, age 70, of Bumpus Mills, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026.

Dan's faith was the most important thing to him. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ that meets at Bumpus Mills, and his life reflected his deep love for God, his commitment to worship, and his desire to serve others.

Dan was a devoted husband, father, poppa, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was a man who loved his family dearly, was known for his love of music and his talent for fiddling. In 2016 he was awarded as the Grand-Champion Fiddle Player for the State of Tennessee. Music was a special part of Dan's life, and for 50 years he faithfully served as a song leader at the Church of Christ that meets at Bumpus Mills, where his voice and love for worship touched generations of those around him.

Dan was also a retired tobacco farmer who took great pride in his work and in the life, he built through years of hard work and dedication. He believed deeply in serving his community and served on the Board at Farm Bureau for 25 years, where he was respected for his dedication and willingness to give his time to others.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Connie Wallace; his children, Sonia Milliken (Mark), Amy Russell (Ricky), and Keith Earhart (Desiree); and his grandchildren, Kara Ballard (Ty), Hollie Ali (Yasir), Taylor Whiteside (Kirk), Emily Milliken, Lynsey Racouillat (Brandon), Ryan Russell (Christiana), Mark Zane Milliken, Adilynn McElroy, Brantley Patterson, Gunner Earhart, Cole Earhart, Beaux Racouillat, Lea Ballard, Zayn Ali, Ila Ballard, Iris Russell, Layth Ali, and William Jackson Whiteside.

He is also survived by his uncle, Sid Clark; his sister, Debbie Patterson; and his nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Birdie Wallace; his brother, David Wallace (Janna); and Virginia Clark, Eva Byrd, and Alene Johnson.

Dan leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, music, hard work, and service. His faith was the foundation of his life and his voice helped lead others in worship. His greatest legacy will be the love he gave to his family, his devotion to God, and the lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Bumpus Mills Church of Christ. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Bro. Phil Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Tracy Swift, Larry Atkins, Adrian Peacher, Michael Morgan, Ronnie Atkins, Jason Patterson, Charlie Hancock, Kevin Wallace, Ken Wallace, and Bret Wallace.
