Dale Herndon

Dale Franklin Herndon, age 71 of Big Rock, TN was called home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Clarksville, TN on April 2, 1952 the beloved son of Loyd and Myrl Herndon. Dale was a member of The Sanctuary Church. He was a hard worker and provider for his family, retiring from TN State Highway Department. Dale was a member of Lineport Masonic Lodge #207 F&AM at Bumpus Mills, TN, 32nd Degree, Scottish Rites. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and spend hours doing his yard work. Dale especially enjoyed spending time with his family and dear friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend.

Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Myers Herndon and father, Loyd Herndon.

He is survived by his family, mother, Myrl Herndon of Paris, TN; son, Eric Herndon (Terri) of Clarksville; daughter, Tia Priddy Herndon (Jerry Lynn Dodd) of Bumpus Mills, TN; brothers, Bobby Herndon and Danny Herndon (Dee) both of Dover, TN; sister, Jane Bristol of Dover, TN; 2 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and girlfriend, Sandra Harvel.

A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 16, 2023 beginning at 11:00 am and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 pm with Bro. Gary Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor’s Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Those serving as pallbearers are Shawn Myers, Mark Herndon, Mike Ford, Bobby Herndon, Danny Herndon, Jackie Myers, and Shane Smithee.
