Clara Mckinney

Clara Mae McKinney, age 86, of Bumpus Mills, TN, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019 at her home after an extended illness. She was born October 10, 1933 in Stewart County, TN daughter of the late Edgar and Dora Smith Turner. She is survived by husband, Clarence McKinney of Bumpus Mills, TN. Her brothers and sister-in-laws were B.J. (deceased) and Carolyn Turner of Nashville, TN, Cleveland and Joyce Turner of Clarksville, TN, James Turner, Sr. and Deanna Turner(both deceased) formerly of Bumpus Mills, TN, and Anthony and Barbara Turner of Franklin, TN. She was the beloved "Aunt Clara" to eleven nieces and nephews.

She was also the wife of the late Paul Scott of Bumpus Mills, TN for 46 years and Raymond Howell of Cadiz, KY for 12 years.

She was a happy and blessed homemaker with a servant's heart that was given to hospitality and welcoming guests into her home throughout her lifetime. Her forte was in the kitchen; a master cook unsurpassed by any other and she had quite the fan base for her cooking. She was a "straight talker" with a warm, loving heart and giving sprit. She was a pleasure to get to know, and it was an honor to love and be loved by her. She was a faithful Christian lady and a life-long member of Joiner's Chapel Church of Christ, Trigg County, KY.

The funeral service will be at 12:00 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Scott Cemetery, Bumpus Mills, TN. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Monday. Cameron Crotts, Chris Turner, James Turner, Jr., Jeff Turner, Jason Turner, and Stephen Turner will serve as her pallbearers. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
