Charles Maxwell Wilson, Sr, age 82, of Dover, TN, formerly of Jackson, TN, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Diversicare in Dover, TN. He was born August 1, 1935 in Jackson, TN, son of John and Ida Higgins Wilson Ross. Mr. Wilson was an Air Force Veteran. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Stedman Wilson, son, James Earl Wilson, sister, Mary Hayes and brothers, Gerald Wilson, Hayes Wilson, Norman Wilson and Bobby Wilson. Survivors include his son, Charles Wilson, Jr., Douglasville, GA, daughter, Dawn Wilson Sharp, Dover, TN, brothers, Whip Wilson, FL, Larry Wilson, Orange Co., CA, Dwight Ross, Stuttgart, AR, Freddie (Marie) Maxey, Bartlett, TN, sister, Jean Nerren, Jackson, TN, sister-in-law Betty Wilson, MD, and grandchildren, Lauren McNair, Aaron Wilson, Hannah Bradley and Sydney Sharp. Memorial services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Memphis Funeral Home, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN, with visitation from 9:00 am until time of service on Saturday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home.
