Charles S. English

Charles English, age 77, of Stewart, TN, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 29, 2025.

He was born in Sioux City, IA, the beloved son of the late Edward and Jean Drees English. Charles retired from Sumitomo Electrical. He was an avid fisherman and found great joy in time spent with family and friends. Charles was known for his kind spirit, love of fellowship, and the meaningful connections he made throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley English; his son, Michael Jensen of Bowling Green, KY; daughters, Melissa Ihnen of Marion, SD, Michelle Mahoney of Pierre, SD, Susan Barnett of Bowling Green, KY, and Melody Renner of Battle Creek, NE. He also leaves behind his sister, Jeannie Taylor of Omaha, NE; brothers, E. John English, MD of Apple Valley, MN, and Fr. Robert English of Omaha, NE; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild—all of whom will carry on his legacy of love and warmth.

In keeping with Charles’s wishes, he was cremated.
