Charles Butler

Mr. Charles R. Butler, age 91 of Germantown, Tennessee passed away on March 14, 2022. He was born on August 31, 1930 in Jackson County, TN.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Anna F. Butts Butler, nephews, Joey Butler, Chip Butts, Sid Butts, nieces, Jan Butts, Marla Oshinsky, April Butts, and one special caregiver, his niece, Dawn Hays.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dora Dennis Butler and his brother, Jimmy Butler.

Mr. Butler served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Tennessee Highway Patrol for 27 years serving as captain for governors Ellington and Dunn. Later, he worked for 30 years at ABF Freight as regional manager of safety and security. He was also a member of Kingsway Christian Church and Disciples Sunday School class.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, March 18, 2022 from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm at Kingsway Christian Church in Germantown, TN. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home in Dover, TN. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
