Charles Bruton

Mr. Charles Galen Bruton, age 78, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare Clarksville. He was born June 3, 1944 in Dover, TN, son of the late Charles Seay Bruton and Mildred Phillips Bruton.

Mr. Bruton was a graduate of Stewart County High School and Austin Peay State University. He was a member of the National Guard in Waverly for six years. He worked as an Environmentalist for the State of Tennessee and was a member of the Ft. Donelson Memorial United Methodist Church. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, and most of all, being a grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Hicks Bruton, children, Galen Bruton, Dover, and Brandy Balthrop (Sammy), Clarksville, TN, grandchildren, Jacquelin Bruton, Charlie Balthrop, and Ellie Balthrop, brother, John Thomas Burton (Jeane), Victor, MT and sister, Sondra Cherry (Billy Clay), Dover, TN.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Willie Lyle officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers are Clay Cherry and Fritz Gray. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Johannas, George Sexton, Frank Dill, Bill Sharon, and Ross Perry.

In lieu of memorials, donations may be made to Ft. Donelson United Methodist Church.
