Charlene Martin

Charlene Hamm Martin, age 89, of Dover, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Henry County Medical Center. She was born December 23, 1926 in Stewart County, daughter of the late Charlie and Lois Hargrove Earhart. She attended the Corinth Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Hamm, brothers, Charles Earhart, Lige Earhart, Harlan Earhart, sisters, Juanita Earhart, Shirley Sykes, and grandson, Jason Burkhart.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Burkhart, Dover, Lois Ann Hamm, Dover, Faye Simpson (Jerry) Big Rock, grandchildren, Jeff Swift, Greg Burkhart, Missy Thomas, Tracy Swift, Angie Burkhart, Kristi Radford, and Andy Simpson, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 9, at Anglin Funeral Home, with Bro. Carl Newberry officiating. Burial will be in the Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday and from 10:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
