Cecil Earhart

Mr. Cecil Edward Earhart, age 95, of Dover, Tennessee passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017, at Houston County Community Hospital. He was born September 26, 1921 in Stewart County, TN, son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Ethel Wallace Earhart. Mr. Earhart was a longtime member of the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church. He was a WWII Army Veteran and a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Mae Knott Earhart, sons, Eddie Earhart, Bracie Earhart, brothers, Calvin Earhart, Freeman Earhart, and Troy Earhart.
Survivors include his son, Tony Earhart (Billie), Dover, daughters, Rita Welker (Tommy), Dover, Freida Ford (Mike), Dover, sisters, Annie Ruth Allen Dover, Betty Solomon, Dover, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Monday at Anglin Funeral Home and from 12:00 until the time of service Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Craig Welker, Ethan Morgan, Dylan Morgan, Tyler Evans, Mason Evans, and Travis Page. Hoyt and Carol Couch will serve as honorary pallbearers.
