Carmen Walter

Carmen Walter, 100, Dover, TN passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 10:30am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Adam Janes officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 5-7:00 pm and on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 9:30am until the hour of service. She was born December 19, 1912 in Dover, TN daughter of the late Porter and Ester Riggins Herndon. Mrs. Walter was manager of the ASCS office and a member of the First Christian Church of Dover, TN. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Walter and sisters, Clara Gibbs and Kathleen Raines. Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Darke (Jim), Dover, TN and Camille Ashcraft, Dover, TN and grandchildren, Joe Darke, Jim Darke, John Darke, Pat Darke, Mike Darke, Mike Ashcraft and David Ashcraft. Grandsons will be pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Dover.
