Carl Mentry

Carl Frederick Mentry, age 87 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2021. He was born June 8, 1934 the son of the late Harold Mentry. He proudly served his country, retiring after 30 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a member of the Carl Wallace VFW Post 4730, 129 Long Creek Rd., Dover, TN. He attended the Compassion Church in Waverly, TN. After his retirement, he was very active in the community and served as past president of the Stewart County Senior Citizen Center, Dover, TN. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and making memories. He will be sadly missed by many.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his loving wife; Marlene Mentry, and son; Michael Mentry.

Those left behind to cherish his memory, his loving daughters; Cindy Stewart of Nashville, TN; Shari Behbahani of Clarksville, TN, Michelle Deleon of Sequin, TX, Susanne Cunningham of Dover, TN, Jeannie Berry of New Braunfels, TX, grandchildren; Marwa Bashir, Devin Deleon, Yousef Behbahani, Justin Cunningham, Shane Deleon, Sara Behbahani, Heather Davis, Oden Mentry, Hannah Berry, Drew Berry and 4 great grandchildren.

There will be a gathering at the Mentry residence; 401 Taylor Chapel Rd, Dover, TN, Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm for anyone that wants to come by and share a memory of a life well lived.
