Carl Brown

Carl Andrew Brown, age 80 of Dover, TN passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN. He was born February 10, 1940 in Pensacola, FL son of the late Howard and Bessie (Jones) Brown.

Carl married the love of his life on October 12, 1961, Brenda Barr Brown and spent 58 wonderful years together. He is survived by his loving children, Anita Taylor (William), C.J. Brown (Penny), Russell Brown; grandsons, David Taylor and Calbern Brown.

In addition to his parents his is preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert, Daryl, Lamar, William, Joseph, Thomas and Clyde.


Carl served his country in the US Army for 22 years. He was a member of the Ensley Masonic Lodge Pensacola, FL, American Legion #72, VFW, Disabled American Veterans and attended Taylors Chapel Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Anglin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. at Taylors Chapel Cemetery conducted by Bro. Cayce Stapp. Pallbearers are Ronnie Taylor, Jason Taylor, Corey Taylor, David Taylor, Calbern Brown, John Elliott, and Pat Donahue.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
