Callene Crockarell

Martha Callene Chandley Crockarell, age 90, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 at Tennova Medical Center. Callene was born January 25, 1926 daughter of Mable Sarah Dabbs and Charles Alex Chandley, Sr. She lived in Dover and graduated from Stewart County High. After graduating she was employed as an office clerk at Fort Campbell, KY. Callene retired as a Workers’ Compensation Clerk from Tennessee Valley Authority Steam Plant, Cumberland City, TN.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Dover, TN and Christian Women’s Fellowship working diligently for her church and her Lord until she became unable to attend. She supported the church in every way she could even though she was unable to attend.
Preceding her in death was her loving husband, Jack Crockarell of more than 60 years, sisters, Charlene Tubbs Borens, and Mabel Chandley Hester, nephew, Chandley Keith Blane, niece, Sheila Borens Jackson, brothers in law, Charles O. Smith, Charles W. (Pete) Tubbs, Edward V. (Pete) Hester, Henry D. Blane and Newman Borens.
Callene is survived by two sisters, Lorene Smith, Cropwell, AL, Robbye C. Blane, Dover, TN, and one brother, Charles Alex Chandley, Jr. (Martha), Knoxville, TN. She has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great- greats.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 5-7:00 pm with services on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. Sandi Wascovich and Rev. Dr. Craig Wascovich officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arvel, Scott and Todd Atkins, Charles Crockarell, Kevin and Ryan Blane, Bruce Hester and Mitchell Earhart.
