Burnetta Watson

Burnetta Nell Harris Watson, age 75, Dover, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, with Rev. Phoebe Jowers and Rev. Adam Janes officiating. An Eastern Star service will follow. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service Saturday. Mrs. Watson was born October 6, 1936 in Stewart County, daughter of the late James Corbett and Mabel Annabelle Maddox Harris. She worked as a beautician in Michigan, and at H&R Block as a tax preparer. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and of the Leatherwood-Asbury United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She also sang in the choirs of the First Christian Church of Dover and the Civil War Singers. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Leonard Watson and sister, Bernice Ann Shaw. Survivors include her children, Catherine 'Cathy' Watson (Marvin Wallace), Stewart, Gary Watson (Danielle), Stewart, and Mark Watson, Stewart, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
