Brenda Baillie

Brenda Baillie, age 62, of Dover, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on August 1, 1964, the beloved daughter of Charles and Kay VanMierlo.

 Brenda was a hard worker who was dedicated to her job as the store manager of Dollar General. She loved her customers, and they loved her in return. Her co-workers became an extension of her family, and working together as a team made her job so much more than just a job. Before becoming a manager, Brenda enjoyed working as a preschool teacher and school bus driver.

Above all, Brenda loved her family. She cherished the time spent making memories with them, especially while camping and enjoying backyard cookouts. Sharing her love with her family brought her great joy and made her life complete. She had a special love for her dogs and they were an addition to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Allison Baillie; son, Paul A. Manning, IV; grandson, Samuel Manning, and brother, Steve VanMierlo.

Brenda leaves behind her partner of 18 years, Charles Prussia; son, Jacob Scarbrough (Carrie); daughter, Michelle McCoy (Charlie); brother, Brian VanMierlo, Barry Pommerville, Jr., and Bruce VanMierlo; sister, Nicky VanMierlo; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; in addition, her fur babies, Rosco, Winnie, Moonlight, and Comet.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church beginning at 3:00 pm followed with a 5:00 pm funeral service. Keeping with Brenda's wishes, she will be cremated.
