Bonnie Rose

August 28, 1934 — April 12, 2021

Bonnie Sue Rose, age 86, of Dover, TN passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 at the home of her daughter, Colleen Blane in Murfreesboro, TN. She was under the care of Adoration Hospice Care in Murfreesboro for the past couple of weeks. She was born August 28, 1934 the daughter of the late Willie and Lillie Hargis of Bumpus Mills, TN.

She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and sister. She was a graduate
of Stewart County High School. She was retired but worked several jobs in the course of her life. The ones she loved was being a teacher assistant at North Stewart Elementary, managing the Highland Rim Cannery in Dover and also working at Ely and Walker Factory. She was a member of the Bumpus Mills Church of Christ where she loved serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was very close to her parents and her siblings. They enjoyed lots of family gatherings, participating in secret sister at Christmas and playing cards over the years together. She enjoyed participating with the Red Hatters and visiting different ones in need. She loved being with her friends at Colson Village in Dover, they called themselves the “Honey Dos” where they enjoyed playing games, participating in community events, and eating out together.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dewey Rose. They were married on June 11, 1955 for 41 years. Also preceded in death are her siblings, Margie Ezell, Odell Hargis, Jewel Simpson, and Brooksie Robertson.

She is survived by her loving children, daughter, Colleen Rose Blane, son in law Kevin Blane of Murfreesboro, TN and a son Carey Lynn Rose, Granite City, Ill. She had two grandchildren Kala Rose Robinson, husband Shawn and Ryan Keith Blane, wife Christina both of Murfreesboro, TN. She also has five great grandchildren, Brooke Leanne Robinson, Kinsley Rose Robinson, Isaiah Matthew Robinson, Lorelei Vivienne Blane and Lillian Clara Blane and a sister Amelia Ross, Clarksville, TN. She loved her family very much.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 5:00- 8:00 pm and Friday April 16, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home in Dover, TN. A celebration of life will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN with Bro. Phil Dunn officiating. Following will be a graveside service at Greenhill Cemetery, Bumpus Mills, TN.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Blane, Shawn Robinson, Steve Ross, Tim Robertson, Larry Monroe, Ron Taylor, Donnie Haddix, and Justin Hopper. Honorary pallbearers are Bea Earhart, Patsy Brigham, Shirley Gray, Pat Heflin, and Katie Koch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bumpus Mills Church of Christ in remembrance of Bonnie Rose.
