Bob Whittaker

Bob Whittaker, 63, Indian Mound, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Greg Tyson and Roy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Seay Cemetery, Indian Mound, TN. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 10:00 am until the hour of service at Anglin Funeral Home. He was born November 7, 1948 in Kingsport, TN son of the late Orville Whittaker and Mary Cook Whittaker Brown. Mr. Whittaker was retired U.S. Coast Guard and retired Tennessee Highway Patrol, member of the Coast Guard Auxillary, member of the American Legion, member of the F.O.P. and a member of Dunbar Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step son, Steve Rorie. Survivors include his wife, Janice Cothran Rorie Whittaker, Indian Mound, TN; son, Mark Christopher Whittaker, KY; daughter, Dawn Whittaker, Antioch, TN; step son, Mark Rorie(LaToshua), Indian Mound, TN and grandchildren, Maranda Rorie, Nathan Rorie, Logan Rorie and Kaycee Burkhart. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
