Blanks Phippen

Blanks George "Buddy" Phippen, Jr. , age 75, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A memorial service will be at 7:00 pm Friday at Anglin Funeral Home, with Bro. Charlie Mathis and Rev. Adam Janes to officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until the time of service Friday at Anglin Funeral Home. He was born August 17, 1937 in Stewart County , son of the late Blanks George, Sr. and Lillian Bryant Phippen. Buddy was a retired car salesman for Gary Mathews Motors. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Thweatt. Survivors include his wife, Sue Cunningham Phippen, Dover, sons, Sam Phippen (Nawanna and Blane), Dover, Jerry Phippen (Kris), Michie, MS, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
