Blane Riggins

Blane Riggins, age 80 of Dover, TN passed away peacefully at his residence Sunday, November 28, 2021. He was born February 8, 1941 the son of the late Glenn and Edith Riggins. He was a hard worker and provider for his family. He worked for Ingram Barge Company and later worked for the Stewart County School System as a Mechanic and School Bus Driver retiring after 30 years of service. He was a humble man, willing to lend a hand to assist co-workers and the students. Anyone knowing him could enjoy a good joke with him. He was a beloved husband, loving father, grandfather, brother and trusted friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his brother, Tony Riggins, Scotty Riggins and grandson; Devin Peters.

He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 50 years; Janey Crain Riggins, sons; Randall Blane Riggins of Lebanon, TN, step-son; David Allen of Dover, TN, daughters; Julie Riggins Peters of Bumpus Mills, TN, Leslie Wood (Carl) White House, TN, brothers; Sonny Riggins of Dover, TN, Marty Riggins of Dover, TN, David Riggins of Dover, TN sisters; Mable Barnhill, Cottontown, TN, Joan Simpson, Dover, TN, grandchildren; Russell Blane Keatts, Bethany Riggins, Ricky Riggins, Anna Riggins, Tyler Cunningham, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00 am and continuing until the hour of the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
