Betty Rose Fortune, age 61, of Dover, TN, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born on September 6, 1963, in Elizabethtown, KY, the daughter of the late George Robert Peters and Charlotte Watkins Gore.

Betty attended Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church and lived her life by the motto, "Never Give Up." She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother who will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and unwavering spirit.

She is survived by her children, Amanda Edwards, Cassie Davis, and George Martinez; her sisters, Brenda Turner and Rita Hart; and seven beloved grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 22, at 4:00 p.m. at Anglin Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m.
