Betty Jean Cherry Carson, 78, Big Rock, TN, died Thursday, May 6, 2010, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home with Glen Glenn officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Visitation will be from 12-3:30 pm Saturday at Anglin Funeral Home at Anglin Funeral Home.
Anglin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born August 22, 1931 in Stewart Co., TN daughter of the late William Oscar and Emma Cobb Cherry. Mrs. Carson was a homemaker and a member of Big Rock Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Francis E. Carson, Sr., brothers, Herman, Harlon and Carlon Cherry, and sister, Lottie Cherry Pellum. Survivors include her sons, Francis E. Carson, Jr. (Rosann), Big Rock, TN and David W. Carson (Diane), Pleasant View, TN; grandchildren, Amy Carson Allison (Jason), Lee Carson and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bob Cherry, Karrol Humphrey, Doug Parker, Jason Allison, Bill Cobb, Randall Redmon, Bailey Provo and Blake Provo.
