Berdie Pauline Mathis, 81, Dover, TN passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Manor House of Dover. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Chester officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Dover, TN. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home.
She was born December 23, 1932 in Model, TN daughter of the late William Frank and Beulah Bell Belisle Luffman. Mrs. Mathis retired from Ely & Walker and Osh Gosh factory and was a lifelong member of Fairview Baptist Church, Dover, TN. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Mathis and two sons, James Edward Mathis and Randy Mathis. Survivors include her sons, Lewis Mathis, Erin, TN, Billy Mathis, Dover, TN, Bobby Mathis, Dover, TN, daughters, Brindia Mathis, Dover, TN and Norma Mathis, Dover, TN, nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
