Basil Hutchison

Mr. Basil W. Hutchison, age 76 of Big Rock, TN passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 at St. Thomas West, Nashville, TN. He was born January 1, 1947 in Bumpus Mills, TN son of the late Clarence and Virgie Ezell Hutchison.

Mr. Hutchison was a Baptist, he loved to fish and hunt, but particularly enjoyed bird hunting. He retired from Modern Heating and Cooling where he worked as a roofer.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hutchison is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Dale Hutchison, brothers, Terry Hutchison and Jimmie Hutchison, granddaughter, Kristen Irizarry, great-grandchild, Cayden Kirby, and brother-in-law, Thomas E. Gray.

He is survived by his daughters, LaDonna VanZant (Greg), Cumberland City, TN and Nikki Wooden, Clarksville, TN; siblings, Sue Carson (Zane) Pleasant View, TN, Pam Gray, Cadiz, KY, Gary Hutchison (Mary), Bumpus Mills, TN, Teddy Hutchison (Christina), Bumpus Mills, TN, Patsy Cumby (Raymond), Dover, TN, and Paulette Allen (Keith), Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Amanda Waldo and Brandon Smith, and four great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Hutchison will be form 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, August 28, 2023. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 28th at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Hester officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Chapel Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
