Mr. Archie Wallace, age 80 of Dover, TN, passed away August 23, 2024 at Houston County Community Hospital. He was born July 24, 1944 in Stewart County, TN son of the late Bazzie and Illene Wallace.
In his youth, Mr. Wallace planted 1,000 trees in Land Between the Lakes. He served his country for 27 years in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean conflict and Vietnam War. He served on the presidential flight detachment for Nancy Reagan. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Wallace truly believed in the responsibility of giving back to others and instilled this value in his granddaughters whom he raised. A great number of lives have been touched by his smile, humor, generosity and grace.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Wallace; son, Allen Wallace; brothers, B.B. Wallace, Wilbur Wallace, Harold Wallace, Coner Wallace, Vernon Wallace, Allen Wallace, Dallas Wallace, and Charlie Wallace; and sisters, Mildred Wallace, Inez Keel, Fannie Thomas, Lizzy Mae Voigth, and Jennette Duncan.
Survivors include his grandchildren, Shari Kvidahl (Chad), Krista Lowver, Will Morrison (Cenitra), James Morrison (Aleshia), Brad Morrison, and Lindsey Jfouf (Robair); great grandchildren, Charlie, Awnesti, Emma, Mia, Haylee, E.J., Uriah, Silas, Ariella, Jettson, Leonardo, and Landon; brothers, Billy Wayne Wallace; sisters, Dean Oxier and Judith McNeal; girlfriend, Betty Fortune, and daughter-in-law, Kathy Wallace.
Visitation for Mr. Wallace will be on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Bro. Brice Darnell will officiate and burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
