Alice Wilks

Alice Ray Wilks, 78 of Dover, TN passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at her residence. She was born December 18, 1938 in Dover, TN daughter of the late Roy and Lorene Russell Wofford. Mrs. Wilks was a retired factory worker, a member of The Rock Baptist Church and The Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, George Poling and Robert Wilks, son, Danny Poling and brother, Roy Dennis Wofford. Survivors include her son, Harry Poling (Barbara), Paris, TN, daughter, Goldie Lewis (Glenn), Buchanan, TN, special friend, Edward McGee, Nashville, TN, sisters, Jean Mathis, Big Rock, TN, Katie Beasley, Paris, TN, Robbye Wall, Paris, TN, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 3-4:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made to the Wofford Cemetery, c/o Jean Mathis, 115 Luther Mathis Rd., Big Rock, TN 37023. Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
