Alberta George

Alberta Hancock George, 93 of Big Rock, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Erin. She was born July 9, 1923 in Hopkinsville, KY daughter of the late Hugh and Ruth Earheart Hancock. Mrs. George was a homemaker and was a member of the Big Rock Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. George. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda George Sexton (Billy), Big Rock, TN and grandchildren, Ariel Walsingham (Roy), Manchester, TN and Cara Schroeder (Anthony), Adams, TN.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Rev. David Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery, Big Rock, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 10:00 am until the hour of service at Anglin Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Roy Walsingham, Anthony Schroeder, Jeffery George, Billy Grant, David Bumpus and Randall Redmon. In lieu of other memorials, donations may be made to the Big Rock Church of Christ or the Big Rock Baptist Church.
