Obituary for Wilton 'Bugs' Earhart

Mr. Wilton ‘Bugs’ Earhart, age 87, of Cumberland City, TN, passed away, Monday, April 6, 2020 at Signature Healthcare of Erin. He was born December 29, 1932 in Stewart County, TN, son of the late Joe and Eva Durrwacther Earhart. Mr. Earhart served his country in the US Air Force. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Dover and attended Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, Dover, TN.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Peck Earhart and Orval Earhart, sisters, Maxine Rentz and Carolyn Karraker.
He is survived by his children, Lisa (Fred) Manners, Dover, TN, Robin Blair, IL, Mark Earhart, PA, sister, Bess Nichols, Arispe, IA, special friend, Geri Humphrey, eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Due to the restrictions for large gatherings, a private graveside service will be held at the Taylor Chapel Cemetery, Dover, TN, with Rev. Phoebe Jowers and Pastor Mary Joe Harvey officiating. Serving as pallbearers is Chase Link, Chase Manners, Heath White, Joseph Manners, Steve Dortch, and Fred Manners. Honorary pallbearers are Al Curtis, Mike Curtis, Pat Dortch, Stan Bellar, Charles Bruton, Wayne Miles, and the Paris Landing Bandits.
The family wishes to express sincere thanks to his caretakers, Toni Reiser, LPN SHC of Erin, Laney Kurtz, LPN, TN Quality Hospice, and his CNAs, Mollie Manners and Elisabeth Houck.
