William Max Rainwater, age 84 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord at Houston County Community Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born in Dover, TN the beloved son of the late William Earl and Bertie Mae Rainwater. William was a hard worker and provider for his family. William worked as a welder in Granite City, IL steel factory. He was a faithful servant, a member of Leatherwood Asbury Church. He was a member of Mariah Grove Masonic Lodge. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and loyal friend to many.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, William Kevin Rainwater.

He is survived by his loving and devoted of 64 years wife, Anna Mae Rainwater of Dover, TN; son, Eric Shane Rainwater of Dover, TN; grandchildren, William Cody Rainwater, Kennedy Paige Davis, Lance Jackson; great grandchildren, Caroline and Jameson Davis.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Leatherwood Asbury Church. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Leatherwood Asbury Church with Joe Mathis and Linda Watters officiating. Burial will follow at The Rainwater Family Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
