Mr. Wallace ‘Wally’ Gene Taylor, age 86 of Dover, TN, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at his home. He was born October 23, 1934 in Marion, IL, to the late Oral Jefferson Taylor and Velma Tomlinson Taylor Watts.

Mr. Taylor was owner and operator of Valley Supply Co. in Redmond, WA before retiring and moving to Dover, TN. He was a member of Carlisle Missionary Baptist Church. Wally loved woodworking and made hundreds of birdfeeders. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and grandest tiger in the jungle. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Wallace Gene Taylor, II and sister, Margie Hendersen.

Wally is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Molly Quinn Taylor; children, Patrick Quinn Taylor (Claire), Dover, Oral Jefferson Taylor (Andrea), Snohomish, WA, Kathleen Camille Olsen (David), Chewelah, WA; daughter-in-law, Kim Smith; brother, Jay Taylor, Everett, WA; sisters, Anetta Hammel, Germany, Joyce Criss, Tacoma, WA; 27 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, May 31 at the Carlisle Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Steve Sukowatey, Bro. Joe Shannon, and Bro. William Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Wofford Cemetery, Dover, TN. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 am Monday at the Carlisle Missionary Baptist Church. His sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
