Ret. SFC Todd Frederick Higley, age 62 of Big Rock, TN, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville. He was born November 30, 1956 in Auburn, New York, son of the late Frederick Alfred and Mary Theresa Holcombe Higley. Mr. Higley retired from the United States Army after 22 years of service and was a veteran of the Gulf War. His memberships included the VFW Post 4730, American Legion in Dover, Military Order of the Cootie and DAV, and AMVETS Post 45.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie Higley, Big Rock, sons, Michael Higley and Joesph Higley, daughters, Barbara Gambrell, Tabitha Higley, Georgia Higley, and Alexis Higley, sister, Dee Higley, stepchildren, Ronnie Peak and Spencer Lee Peak, and 17 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Chambers and Chip Perretta officiating. VFW Post 4730 will provide military honors. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the time of service Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home.
Mr. Higley will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Auburn, New York, later in the week. Services will be handled by New Comer Funeral Home, Syracuse, New York. Local arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee.
