Obituary for Sammie Lee Chance Sr.
Mr. Sammie Lee Chance, Sr., age 68, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare, Clarksville. He was born March 10, 1951 in Clarksville, Tennessee, son of the late Merle Sammie Chance and Virginia Lea Byrd Chance. Mr. Chance retired from Stewart County High School after 30 years of teaching auto mechanics.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Chance.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Chance, Big Rock, son, Sammie Lee Chance, Jr., Clarksville, daughter, Kyna Dublin (Rob), Franklin, TN, stepdaughters, Shannon Frogue, Big Rock, and Terri Odom, Stewart, grandchildren, Alora Chance Black, Clarksville, Baylor, Addison, and Campbell Dublin, all of Franklin, TN, and his step grandchildren, Alianna and Izabella Odom, Fairview, and Olivia and Payton Frogue, Big Rock.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rob Dublin officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 12:45 pm on Tuesday at Anglin Funeral Home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee.
