Roy Odom, Jr. age 83 of Dover, Tn passed away September 27, 2021 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born November 7, 1937 the son of the late Roy and Christine Odom. He worked hard in the log woods his entire life. His one main hobby and enjoyment was riding horses. In 2007 at the age of 70, he competed and was awarded the top honor as world speed race champion. He is survived by his wife; Loretta Hicks Odom, sons; Larry Odom (Verna), Mark Odom (Michelle), daughters; Melinda Townsend (Dale), Teresa Odom (Randy), grandchildren; Jereme Odom, Jessica Robeson, Ashley Eaves, Cody Townsend, Jake Spiceland, Jada Spiceland, Ashleigh Groves, six great grandchildren and a very faithful companion, Ryder.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 12:00 pm until the hour of the funeral service at 2:00pm at Anglin Funeral Home with James Denton officiating. Burial will follow at Hildreth Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be his Flag Racing Friends, James Denton, Ronnie Washburn, Dwight Hendrix Kyle Springer, Kenneth Anderson, and Jerry Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angels on Duty, 1104 Old Hwy 79, Dover, TN 37058.

The family has requested those attending the service to wear face mask and practice social distancing.
