Obituary for Nancy Jane Cason (Moore)
Mrs. Nancy Jane Cason, age 71, of Indian Mound, TN, passed away, Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare, Clarksville. She was born April 16, 1951 in Clarksville, TN, daughter of the late Howard Moore and Essie Peacher Moore.
Mrs. Cason was a graduate of Stewart County High School class of 1969. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star; she enjoyed writing as well as playing music and sewing. She spent over 30 years teaching English at Stewart County High School, where she touched the lives of many students. She will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor and her wonderful smile.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Ray Cason, daughter, Christina Anderson (David), grandchildren, Callista Anderson, Alexandria Anderson, and Christabelle Anderson.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, August 8th at Anglin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 9th, at Fairview Cemetery, Indian Mound, with Bro. Phil Dunn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Burns, Lee Cheatham, Tracy Lehman, Kerry Lehman, Johnny Cunningham, Will Peacher, Mark Smith, and Adrian Peacher.
Memorial contributions may be made to the children’s departments of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church, Indian Mound Methodist Church, or Bumpus Mills Church of Christ or the SCHS Drama Club.
