Obituary for Mary Ellen Lemons
Mrs. Mary Ellen Lemons, age 91 of Tennessee Ridge, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 18, 2021. She was born January 2, 1930 in Stewart County, TN, daughter of the late Roe and Nannie Snoddy Austin.
Mary was an award-winning quilter, a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Carlisle Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Lemons, sons, Frankie Lemons and Terry Lemons, and her brothers, Jimmy Austin and Frank Austin.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Carolyn Paxton (Mike), grandchildren, Billy Paxton (Anita), Andy Lemons (Candace), Jenni Link (Bart), great grandchildren, Beth Luffman (Buster), Dekota Paxton, Zachary Paxton (Hannah), Jessie Lemons, and Gage Link, great-great grandchildren, Liddie Luffman, Kyndal Luffman, and Jaxie Paxton, sister, June Thrasher, and sister-in-law, Mary Warfield.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Stewart County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Tim McDonald officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
