Mrs. Lynda Joy Hicklen, age 75 of Dover, TN passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Murray Calloway County Hospital. She was born July 5, 1947 in Blanche, TN daughter of the late Ernest Raymond Franklin, Jr. and Evangeline Fowler Franklin Parkes. Lynda was an avid gardener, she loved to travel with her friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dover and worked as a secretary for Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years Jimmy Dale Hicklen.
She is survived by her brothers, Ronnie Franklin, Huntsville, AL, Billy Franklin, Fayetteville, TN, and Timothy Franklin, Hokes Bluff, AL; sisters, Barbara Ann Crawford, Fayetteville, TN, Cynthia Renee Parton Hazel Green, AL; brother-in-law, Bruce Hicklen, Murfreesboro, TN, and sister-in-law Faye Shannon, Andmore, AL.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 9, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Dover with Bro. Steven Head officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Monday at the church. Burial will be at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, AL. Pallbearers will be the First Baptist Church of Dover Deacons.
