Leon Farris, age 82 of Tecumseh, OK, lost his battle on June 20, 2020. He was surrounded by his loved ones when he went to meet the Lord. He was born on October 3, 1937 in Kaw City, OK to Leonard and Bertha Stepp Farris. SFC Farris was a retired Army Veteran of the Vietnam War with 20 years of service. He married the love of his life Carolyn Hester Farris and together they raised five children. He was widowed in 1990 and spent his remaining years sharing his infections laugh with those around him and being a beloved Pop-Pop to his 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Guiding him through Heaven’s gates were his wife, Carolyn, daughters Leauna and LaDeana, and sister, Oleta States.
He is survived by his daughters, LaJeana Farris (James Wolfe), sons, Tommy Neptune and Nicky Neptune (Jennifer Hunt), and his grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Webber officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of service Sunday at Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN. Pallbearers will be Tommy Neptune, Nicky Neptune, Kyle Neptune, Brady Ladd, James Wolfe, and Manuel Wolfe. Memorial contributions may be made to Anglin Funeral Home P.O. Box 100 Dover, TN 37058.
