I'm sad to hear one of my best childhood friends passed away long before his time. Although we grew apart in highschool, we had many great adventures exploring the Standing Rock area as kids. I'm sure we caused our fair share of stress on some Dover Elementary school teachers as well! The world is a bit darker without your bright smile, I wish we had kept in touch my friend. I'll miss you buddy!

My heart was sadden to read about the the loss of Joey and wanted to give my warmest condolences to the family. To lose someone so well loved can bring such sadness but the God of all comfort tells us at 2 Kings 20:5 He feels our pain. At we can read in the Bible John 5:28,29 that not only does God care but it will move him to remove all the suffering he sees and gives assurance that you will have him in your life once again. May all the beautiful memories you have give you calm and peace until God’s promises come true. Again so very sorry for your heartache. 💐

Joey and my son Michael Adkins were childhood friends as well as school mates. We lived fairly close to Joey or as close as you could for we lived in the country. Joey and Mike would ride bikes together many day. One day stands out to me. Joey came running to my door saying Mike had fallen into the creek from the bridge. What I found out later was that Joey did not hesitate to jump in and pull my son from the water. He was my hero that day and will always be in my thoughts. I have told this story many times over the years. May God bless you during this time of grief and I pray this will be a sweet memory for you for years to come as it is for me.
