Obituary for James "JD" Drinnon

James Donald “JD” Drinnon, age 82 of Dover, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his residence after a long battle with kidney failure. He was born February 25, 1937 in Hamblen County, Tennessee, son of the late James William Thomas and Mildred Goan Drinnon. JD served his country in the United States Air Force. He attended Dover First Church of the Nazarene, was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of Iron Mountain Masonic Lodge #544. JD retired after 33 years of service from the Ft. Campbell Fire Department. After retirement he worked another 15 years at Bi-County Waste Management.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Etta Marjorie Drinnon, brother, Johnny Drinnon and sister, Dorothy Louise Harrell.
Survivors include his daughters, Sherrie Pierce (Mike), Dandridge, TN, Donna Warfield (Gary), Springfield, TN, grandchildren, Courtney Lynn Warfield Hudgens (Michael) and James Michael Warfield (Shera), friends, Hilda Odom and Karen Moore, and several extended family members.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 7, 2019 with Bro. Jonathan Leonard officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Stewart County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday with a Masonic Service at 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Dortch, Bryan Watson, Larry Wallace, Quinn Garner, Michael Warfield, David Moore, Charles Parks, Sr., and Mike Futrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewey Wayne Wallace, Clay Davis, David Cotter, David “Red Eye” Riggins, Billy Hamm, Barry Goad, Pam Groves, Paul Groves, Kim ‘AKA’ “Commissioner” Wallace, and Shirleen Russell.
Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee.
