Sergeant James Kelly Crow Jr., age 52, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN. He was born January 4, 1967 in Clarksville, TN, son of James Kelly Crow Sr. of Houma, LA and the late Nancy Marie Wallace.
James was a 1989 graduate of John A. Gupton Mortuary College where he earned an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science and has been employed with Anglin Funeral Home since 1985. He later graduated in 2003 from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy. He then served with the Cumberland City Police Department, then the 23rd Judicial Drug Task Force, and was currently serving with the Stewart County Sheriff’s Department.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Marie Shemwell Wallace Survivors include his daughter Lacee Crow, Dover, TN, father, James Kelly Crow, Sr., Houma, LA, brothers, Derek Crow, New Orleans, LA, Nicholas Crow, Houma, LA, and sister, Melissa Marie Guidry, Houma, LA.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Stewart County Middle School with Rev. Dr. Del Morgan and Sheriff Frankie Gray officiating. Burial to follow at Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 21 at Stewart County Middle School. Pallbearers will be Brett Bumpus, Jason Gillespie, Shaun Noble, Shane Keatts, Josh Miller, Lee Miller and Honorary Pallbearers, Derek Crow, Nicholas Crow, Marcus Brigham, and Wayne Anglin.
