Obituary for Imogene Hinson

Ms. Imogene Hinson, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister went home to Jesus on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the age of 95. She was born May 3, 1927 in Ft. Henry, TN, daughter of the late Van Causey and Lucy Mae Wofford Causey.

As a child, Ms. Hinson attended Mint Springs School at Ft. Henry. She always led an exemplary life of faith in God, protection and care of her family, and a hard worker. All the while looking forward to her reward in Heaven. She was a member of the Bethel Church of God for over 60 years. Imogene loved working in her garden and flowers. She especially enjoyed canning and preparing vegetables for the winter. She enjoyed cooking and gathering her family around the family table and sharing good memories. She was devoted mother, a loving grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.

She has been reunited with her beloved husband of 80 years, William Edward Hinson, brothers, John Bernard Causey, O.T. Causey, Paul Causey, and her son-in-law, John Hartman.
She is survived by her children, Larry Hinson (Ann), Clayton Hinson (Lana), Diane Murphy (Bob), and Shirley Hartman; sisters, Nina Wallace and Brenda Withers; brothers, William Causey and Robert Causey; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Page Cemetery with Bro. Steve Phillips officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
