Helen Selph Simmons, age 88 of Clarksville, TN went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2021 at her residence with her loving children by her side. She was born September 9, 1932 the daughter of the late Benjamin and Daisy Selph. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a faithful servant, attended Crossland Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN. She worked as an accountant, was an avid seamstress, loved gardening and playing cards with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son; Bruce Wright, two brothers, three sisters, one half-brother and five half-sisters.

She is survived by her loving children, son; Dwayne Simmons (Dawn) Clarksville, TN, daughters; Barbara Compton, Clarksville, TN, Kathy Dennis (Bobby) Big Rock, TN, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 12:00 pm until the hour of the service at 2:00 pm at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Kail officiating the service. Burial will follow at the Smith Cemetery in Big Rock, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
